SURFACE IMPRESSION
Though larger Menhaden have been hard to come by in
recent years, the juvenile "peanut Bunker" are unbelievably thick at
times, and can be found in almost any harbor along the East
coast. They feed en masse, and make an audible "hiss" as they
filter out plankton along the surface with mouths wide-open.
